MATERIALS:
- Crayola Air Dry Clay (white)
- Rolling pin
- White and blue paint
- Fettling knife or Exacto knife
- Cup of water
- Paint brushes
- Foam sponge brush
- Sponge
- Canvas (optional)
- Ribbon
- Mod Podge
DIRECTIONS:
Step One:
Place a ball of clay on your sheet of canvas or on a clean table.
Step Two:
Roll the clay into a flat slab.
Step Three:
Cut the clay into your desired shape.
Step Four:
Pinch the sides for an organic feel, smoothing with a sponge.
Step Five:
Insert a paintbrush tip at the top, and create a clean hole that you will later put your ribbon through.
Step Six:
Paint the surface white, and express your emotions in blue.
Step Seven:
Let paint and clay dry overnight.
Step Eight:
Apply a thin mod podge layer for a sheen and seal.
Step Nine:
Add a ribbon and hang your personalized piece anywhere in your home! I decided to hang mine in my studio space!
