"They are all Gone." With these three simple words, world history and certainly Jewish history, was changed forever.

Since its inception, the JCC Maccabi Games have formed a special bond and have made a heartfelt commitment to the surviving family members of the Munich 11 victims. Each opening ceremony honors the memory of those lost, with the hope that the harsh lessons of Munich will be passed on by our Jewish athletes of the future.

The challenge is to make Munich relevant for today's Jewish teams, teams that have witnessed tragedy first-hand with 9/11, teams that were born 20 years after Munich. But the fact is, that the ties between Munich 11 and the JCC Maccabi games run deeper than you realize. Watch the video for the full story.
