We romanticize the notion of the Israeli soldier, yet we must always remember that we are forever indebted to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for Israel’s freedom. We are indebted to the soldiers, of blessed memory; we are indebted to their parents, siblings, relatives, and friends who are left with memories to cling to, but no loved one to embrace.
