Jerusalem Transcending

Tags: Memory, Travel, Jerusalem, Judaism

By Carol Fineblum, the Great Grandmother

Perhaps Nachlaot in Jerusalem is not the Temple Mount. But it surely came close to being that in June of 2010.

As Nachumm Tuvya was gingerly placed in the arms of his alta zady, this 8 day old Jew brought not only eternal joy and exhilaration to the great grandfather but his Brit Milah (Bris) awakened the Angels and nearly ushered Hashem Himself through the open doors of the the neighborhood synagogue.

And so the synagogue in Jerusalem transports every zady, bubbye and parents into the sublime each time a blessed child joins our fold and brightens our lives.
