Harry Potter and the Threats to Israel: For Us It’s Not a Movie
By Rachel Lester
Rachel Lester created this video masterpiece in 2015 to express the Israeli reality of that time. Aside from the reference to the kidnapping of Naftali Frenkel, Gilad Shaer and Eyal Yifrah, it could have been made to reflect the Israel 2018.
People around the world flocked to the bookstores and the movie theaters to soak up the drama of Harry Potter. They were thrilled, moved and emotionally involved in the well being of the characters. Israelis don’t often get the same sympathy even though for us, it’s not a movie.
